The
new, purpose-built premises of the Language Training Center were
opened in April 1989 on the northern part of the university
campus. In total, it has approximately 1100 square meters of space
available for language training. The campus is easily accessible
by means of public transportation, and is only about 15 minutes
from the city center.The building accommodates up to 220 students
at any one time. The main features include:
- 10 classrooms
with flexible seating arrangements,
- 4 language
laboratories,
- a video room,
- a library with
a full range of self-access materials,
- a meeting
room,
- a teachers'
common room with ELT materials,
- a recording
studio,
- a duplicating
room,
- an auditorium
with a seating capacity of 200,
- academic and
administrative staff offices,
- a prayer room,
and
- a canteen.
In
addition, there are two Japanese language laboratories and
classrooms for use by undergraduates under separate management
(the Faculty of Letters and the Japanese Studies Center). |
