I have no idea what has occurred, although I suspect that our Esteemed host may have had some sort of problem (not that they'd advise me, of course!) We have NOT exceeded our bandwidth, even using their figures, although the figures provided do indicate that something odd has been going on over the last five days. We get 1Gigabyte (1000 Megabytes) of band width in any month - in the last month we have used 115 Megabytes. Yesterday, however, we used 25.4 Mb, which I find hard to believe. That would mean that the 8 of us who used the board (excluding any guests) would have used 3 Megabytes EACH, possible but unlikely, unless someone has worked out a system of using our account for something else.... or somebody's using the messaging system to send huge images? Just to show I'm not obfuscating, below are today's figures and summary: (I did a quick addition and get something over 41 Megabytes for the day) - surely, highly improbable? 12 am: 484.3 KB .....12 pm: 1.8 MB 1 am: 979.4 KB .....1 pm: 1.5 MB 2 am: 2.0 MB .....2 pm: 1.1 MB 3 am: 530.8 KB .....3 pm: 36.3 KB 4 am: 427.8 KB .....4 pm: 0 KB 5 am: 464.0 KB .....5 pm: 0 KB 6 am: 12.1 MB .....6 pm: 0 KB 7 am: 5.4 MB .....7 pm: 0 KB 8 am: 2.0 KB .....8 pm: 0 KB 9 am: 5.3 MB .....9 pm: 0 KB 10 am: 10.2 MB .....10 pm: 0 KB 11 am: 4.3 KB .....11 pm: 0 KB These are USA 'EST' times, and are therefore incomplete at the time of this posting. ALLOTMENT Total Bandwidth Allotted: 1.0 GB Yesterday's Use: 25.4 MB LIMIT Days over limit this month: DATE TIME March 23 at 6:45 EST 2 hours March 23 at 10:15 EST 2 hours

OK, we finished up with 45 Mb for the day. Only 4 of us had over 100 'clicks'. Around 1200 'clicks' in-all. That equates to around 40 Kilobytes per 'click'. I've just been doing some calculations - rough and ready, but should be closish. This IS possible, if every page were full. A page with a single (no image embedded) is around 12K, whilst a 'full' page is approx. 40K. At the moment we are on a 'free' site - i.e. I don't pay a cent for it. Perhaps I may have to upgrade to a paid site, still on Tripod, but - to be honest - I cannot afford that. I shall monitor our traffic for the next week and see if things change, after all we are hardly a high traffic site! Cheers. Thanks for letting me know the situation.

Not sure whether nobody can be arsed to tell you or not, but the bandwidth problem has happened on three of the last four days to my knowledge. It doesnt bother me personally, just thought you should know.

Yes, TDf, I am; but there's nothing I can do about it. It appears, unbeknownst to me, that we also have a 5.7Mb per hour limitation as well as the 1Gb monthly allocation. I must have missed that one when I was checking out the rules/regulations/requirements. For your information these are the dates and times when we have been 'blocked'. LIMIT Days over limit this month: DATE TIME March 23 at 6:45 EST 2 hours March 23 at 10:15 EST 2 hours March 26 at 12:15 EST 2 hours March 26 at 15:15 EST 2 hours March 30 at 10:15 EST 2 hours April 1 at 8:15 EST 2 hours I am truly sorry, but I cannot afford to pay for the site, plus the system we have is better than the 'normal' YaBB board and so I am loath to move - even though I do have a back up site elsewhere if we really get into trouble. I posted that address earlier. Should any of our members be prepared to pay the $US 4.95 per month to extend our capabilities, please speak up now!
