Personally, my theory on Lolla Mont Gue is that she's a batty old Italian or Greek woman, in her late fifties or early sixties, who doesn't quite speak English, but who's more than willing to get up and dance at, say, one of her granddaughter's parties (much to her granddaughter's embarrassment). Someone whose eccentricity is mostly charming, but who's also prone to mood swings, convoluted schemes, and odd fixations, and whose family is always half-expecting her to do something a bit over-the-top. |
