I was a big fan of Pink Floyd when I was younger and i always reckoned "dark Side of the Moon" as their master piece. Concerning the Greek classics did you already try the internet public library? They have a lot of Sophocles and Aischylos tragedies online. Or are you looking for some obscure fragments? |

Many people think it's Pink Floyd's greatest album of all time; it's definitely a strong contender, though it feels counterintuitive to call it better than so many of the other albums I love. Still, a poll long ago found that Meddle and Animals were the two favorites among die-hard Pink Floyd fans, and that makes a lot of sense to me. I haven't tried the IPL -- hadn't heard of them, actually! I'm looking for the obscure fragments, though -- things like the Prometheus Unbound of Aeschylus/Aischylos, of which we have a few bits and pieces, I think. I'm just curious to see what we do in fact have -- I think there are at least sixtysomething fragments or so of Aeschylean works, in addition to what we already have in full. What a tragedy -- out of ninety-plus plays, only seven survive... |

And I found it a little bit disappointing after Wish You Were Here. But all these animal noises have certainly got a charm. Haven't listened to it for maybe 20 years. I just discover that I even gave it away. Pink Floyd were a part of my youth but later on I moved on to Jazz (80s) and Indie (90s). I find that PF sound a little dated today. Prog-rock was a dead end IMHO. Too artificial and too much production if you know what I mean. |
