Comments:  A note about the Cocteau Twins...

I've read an interview (or two?) in which Liz
Fraser claims to have been singing in English all along. Both their initial output and their last couple of albums have intelligible singing on them. I can't take her claim seriously, though.

For a while I was picking up Cocteau Twins records left and right thinking, "there's a really good one of these, I just keep getting the wrong one." I think I was wrong, although, there is one song of their's that I quite like. I think maybe I'll include it on the mp3 disc I send out. It's from their missnamed 'acoustic' effort, _Victoria Land_.

Comments:  Hey! Good to hear from you. Tripod was acting really weird and wouldn't show me which of my posts had a comment -- I had to smack it 5-6 times to get it to tell me it was this one.

That's about what I suspected with the Cocteau Twins. They seemed like a really good idea even before I heard their music, and I can see how that quality could drive one to pick up lots of their albums in pursuit of something just out of sight. I'd definitely be into checking that track out.

How's the housing/life situation? Do you have a place yet? And what'd you think of my "cheesy solo bracketed by a weak falsetto singing a half-assed Ida ripoff" MP3? I won't be offended if you don't like it, though I have to confess I find it pretty gratifying.
