Comments:  I did! Still trying to figure out what I think of the rest of it; it definitely has made less of an immediate impression (positive or negative) than Will You Find Me did. I haven't been really giving it my best attention, though.

Are you settled in your temporary new digs?

Comments:  I'm still trying to decide what I make of the
album a year later. It's no Will You Find Me,
that's for certain. I am settled for the time
being, but hopefully we'll find a new place
to live today. I've got some great news that
I've been dying to share: Mary gave us her CD
burner for keeps! Take care, buddy.

Comments:  I agree that it's no Will You Find Me, though the flip side of that is that, so far, I haven't found any songs that rub me the wrong way as much as "Past the Past" does! Still, I agree that it doesn't have a comparable lineup of standout songs -- Will You Find Me has something like 6 strong tracks out of the first 7-8, whereas the only track I remember off The Braille Night is still "Blizzard of '78". I've seen "Arrowheads" accused of being a Lilith Fair song in disguise; I'll have to listen to that one again and see if I agree -- I played it at work today and it didn't feel that way, but I wasn't listening too closely to the lyrics.

Great news about the burner! I'm excited that you're all set to participate in the trading club. John sent the discs out a couple days ago, so they should be showing up any day now. I don't have mine yet, but I hope they get here by the weekend. I'm looking forward to doing mine, though I'm a bit between a rock and a hard place -- I'd love to do a new set, but with my turntable broken, I feel like I'm deprived of a lot of the stuff I'd like to add. On the other hand, if I send out the Ciphered Mix 5 I gave John, then I have to wait another 6 months before I can do anything new! But I do want to share that one, too. Maybe I'll just send out a ridiculously huge set. John's certainly set a high bar for the rest of us -- his set is apparently 4 CDs, though so far I've had the willpower not to read the description.

Keep me posted on your living situation! Take care, amico.
