I'll think about that. I think you've already told your Drakkhen story in hyar somewhere, yes yes? 3) Two song poems for consideration in your review series: a) "Joedy:" what the hell is this about? b) "Yamtang:" a song poem that doesn't suck. It's even musically interesting. Catchy, in fact! Are we sure this is a song poem at all? |

I remember liking it, actually! 2) Yep, the story's come up. That's an interesting borderline case, actually, but since we decided to keep the error, it probably doesn't qualify. 3a) Ahem. ("It's like a presen' from yestiddy!") 3b) Oh, that's one by Norris "The Troubadour", isn't it? The ASPMA site has some info on him, including the fact that the original title was "P00ntang P00ntang Rankytang, My Sweet Potatoe"! You know, I really need to fix my comment thing so that it doesn't use the pound sign to change fields. I tried to put in direct links to the relevant anchors above (Sept. 15, 2001 and April 26, 2003 respectively), but it broke the entry and I had to remove them. Sigh. |

OK, here's what the Revelator posted -- over here, since this wasn't working:) Ah, so you did review "Joedy" already! I was thinking that I was remembering some of those lines from a conversation that we had had, one which had taken place at some point before I was more than passingly familiar with the song. When it came on iTunes a few nights ago, I thought, "I'd like to hear Phil talk about this one again!" I guess I was remembering having read your review instead of having had a conversation with you. And do check out Terrapin again. It's worthy. |
