Comments:  I suppose not. And I always make oatmeal with water, though that's not really cereal per se (except in its grain-ness). But man, I don't know, without the ambience of milk, it's like eating cereal out of a swimming pool.

Comments:  Dry cereal vs. cereal with water -- that's a tough one. I'd have to give the edge to dry cereal.

As for modes, fire away!

Comments:  today i washed down my bowl of dry cereal with
a glass of water! i think it was a first. my
taste in food often depends more upon its
texture than its flavor. i'll email some mode
questions to you later. it's time for kids in
the hall.

hi holly.

I ate dry bran flakes today as well. I also washed them down with water. Spooky!

Comments:  One thing that's good is All Bran. Bran threads, really, instead of flakes. They're surprisingly good dry. However, I think they're at their best in a small bowl of milk. Small, you see, so that they may be consumed quickly, and are still crisp, as opposed to supersaturated. To serve them in water would be a horrid mockery. Once, I had Fruity Pebbles with orange juice instead of millk. It was a less than ideal situation for all of us involved.

Comments:  No! No! No! All Bran is Awful! I'm sorry but I really think a warning should be prominently placed on All Bran boxes. "Caution! Chewing will take considerable amounts of time, do not procede until you have cleared about four hours in your schedule." Twig and branch gnawing would provide much more satisfaction, not mention the notoriety for being an ACTUAL stick-eater! Of course, I've only tried one brand. I suppose I should keep an open mind.

Comments:  I can see your point. All Bran is an endevor, and certainly doesn't hold a candle to, say, Cracklin' Oat Bran, the apex of all things bran (apart from the obvious exception of well-made fruit and bran muffins. Those are the pinnacle, the highpoint, the crowning achievement which eloquently understate the very origins of bran, and its place in the world). Sure it has coconut oil in it, and rather a lot of fat, but bran irself is simply so good for you it more than evens out.

Comments:  Or was the Frisell solo doubled in fourths? Now I don't remember. I think it was fifths, though, because I remember the melody in "Resolution" being doubled at the fifth, with the fifth-line on top.
