Comments:  Jeez, isn't anyone going to use this comment system? C'mon, you know you want to. Hey, actually, if you try to, and it doesn't work, please let me know so I can fix it.

Comments:  My attitude on chattering yuppies has changed. True, you can't concentrate concentrate on music w/people next to you discussing SUV payments and vacation homes on their cellphones next to you, but music is for many things, one of which is attentive listening, another of which is to provide a pleasant atmosphere in which to socialize. You're WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG. WRONG. -darno PS. Make the "comments" from field bigger. You have a whole page to use and this tiny window is an ergonometric disaster.

Comments:  Woofle woofle woofle. Snorbly norbly. You're definitely right about the comments window -- that's just me being lazy and not modifying the Perl script I stole to do this. Point well taken! About the music, well, I think you're right in some ways. But quiet music just can't compete with noise; there's an elusive quality that gets annihilated by it. But you knew that, Darno -- if that IS your real name...(!)

Comments:  Yeah, I definitely get annoyed when I'm trying to listen to some quieter jazz, or quieter moments, and people are chattering away. On the other hand, sometimes it just adds that festive club atmosphere, it's all context.

I don't think I've ever had the problem on the other end...if I'm playing with a combo and people are being raucous, the solution is usually to PLAY LOUDER and kick their collective ass. :> (or just to start playing squeally free jazz).
