Comments:  Alas, I suspect you're right. On the other hand, it's reassuring to see how widely loved he really was.

Comments:  It's funny, I still haven't responded to your last email in which you mention the Mr. Rogers song. The reason it's funny is because I sing that song all the time. I'm a pretty shy singer, but I'll sing that song before just about anyone, just about anywhere. I even sing it to myself sometimes while I'm removing/replacing my shoes. So, as I've been meaning to say, "yes, I know just what you mean."

Comments:  I really like that.

For what it's worth I heard a recording last night of Mr. Rogers singing that with a jazz piano trio, and he sang it very endearingly, in a homely-but-gentle voice. If that was him on piano, he sure can play! I feel certain that he plays piano at times on the show, but I've never been sure when, since I think the background music is done in real time...?

Comments:  It is done in real time. He wrote the lyrics but he picked a (somewhat notable?) jazz pianist to write and play the music for the show.

Comments:  Hmmmm. So when does he play jazz piano, then, I wonder?
