Comments:  50? Good lord. My roommate and I had a hard enough time trying to come up with a definitive Top Five list of Greatest Led Zeppelin songs.

Comments:  This list helped to gather my thoughts, admittedly. Some interesting stuff there...

H.W.D., eh? Feeling limber today, I take it. But wait, why should you need to keep that skill up, given your presum. affirm. resp. (si, as the French would say) to the question posed at 6.1, 22, 0:46 mark, no?

Comments:  "julia" would be my fave. thinking about it "a day in the life" could well be no. 2. or maybe "across the universe".

Comments:  I had a tough time choosing between those two -- I came very close to picking "Julia". The middle section of "A Day in the Life" is what swayed me, I think.

I maybe should've rated Across the Universe higher, it used to be one of my big favorites and I'm not sure that I really "Taxman" or "Got to Get You Into My Life" more!

Comments:  "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away" *just* missed the cut -- I almost put it in there. It's a good one for sure, as are many of the songs I omitted..."I'm Only Sleeping", "Girl", "Michelle", "Baby, You're a Rich Man", loads of others...and yes, "Eleanor Rigby" too. Much as I like "Eleanor Rigby", though, I think I've heard it a few too many times -- it's just not a song I find myself wanting to reach for, though I always dig it when it's on.

It's interesting that no one's called me on omitting some of the big anthemic tracks like "Hey Jude" or "Yesterday" or "Let It Be" or even "Revolution", but I suspect lots of folks are weary of those. (I do like "Yesterday" though.)
